Any thoughts on whether or not I should let my GI do a Siba test and endoscopy? Foods not digesting well, having on and off gallbladder pain! I’m thinking it’s due to my thyroid being under medicated! I’m scared to let them remove my gallbladder if it’s just my thyroid! I have muscle weakness and chills! It’s always something! I think I need to cancel and just work with my foods and supplements! Everything I’ve read, it seems like if I get it removed I’ll still have the same issues!

Gallbladder
For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4, TT4, FT3 plus TPO and TG thyroid antibodies. Plus vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12.
Essential to test thyroid antibodies, FT3 and FT4, plus vitamins
Private tests are available. Thousands on here forced to do this as NHS often refuses to test FT3 or antibodies

Medichecks Thyroid plus ultra vitamin or Blue Horizon Thyroid plus eleven are the most popular choice. DIY finger prick test or option to pay extra for private blood draw. Both companies often have money off offers.
All thyroid tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and fasting.
If on Levothyroxine, don't take in the 24 hours prior to test, and if on T3 or NDT don't take in 12 hours prior to test, delay and take straight after
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, GP will be unaware)
If antibodies are high this is Hashimoto's, (also known by medics here in UK more commonly as autoimmune thyroid disease).
About 90% of all hypothyroidism in Uk is due to Hashimoto's. Low vitamins are especially common with Hashimoto's. Food intolerances too, especially gluten. So it's important to get tested.
It would be interesting to know if there is a link to hypothyroidism and gallstone/ bile duct problems. I've been hypothyroid since 2006, never knowingly had any gut problems, till about 3 years ago when got blocked bile duct, had routine procedure to clear it and got septic shock and insulin- dependent diabetes... since had gall bladder out. If there is less invasive method of identifying the problem and curing it , I'd try that first!
Sorry I think I had originally intended my post to answer Diana58. I have rarely used aluminium pans.... but suspect hypothyroidism has a lot to answer for .
I was early 30s when I had my gallbladder removed. I had many of the thyroid symptoms then although it wasn’t diagnosed until decades later!! Took them two years to decide it was my gallbladder! 74 now and Afib added into the mix!!

Why not? SIBO can be quite easy to cure and if you know you have it, you can choose NHS or alternative methods. You can refuse to allow them to remove your gall bladder. I often refuse treatments. But don't tell them beforehand or they may refuse to do the tests. Just say "NO" firmly, and sit through the lecture while reciting nursery rhymes under your breath. Worked for me when refusing chemo.
It wouldn’t hurt to do the tests. I have hypothyroidism and have gallbladder symptoms for years. They do sonograms and never find anything with gallbladder. After further testing found out I had large ulcer and endoscopy found Barrett’s esophagus which is an irritated esophagus from stomach acid destroying my esophagus. Didn’t know I had silent GERD. Acid from stomach going to esophagus without any heartburn. So further testing may show you have another problem. I still have gallbladder pain. Pain on right side severe at times. It hurts all the time treatment for ulcers and Barrett’s esophagus has not helped it either. Knowledge is power the more you find out the better for you to get well. Hope you find some answers and feel better soon. I know how frustrating you must be but don’t give up. Diana 58 this post was answer to your post
I know I’m at witts end trying to get relief. It is so frustrating. I did find that getting my vitamin D up has helped with joint pain. I take something called Revolution D from stop aging now. It has vitamin d and k2 and zinc together. Also magnesium helps joint pain. I am constipated so I take 400mg magnesium citrate. There is other kinds if not constiped. I also wash with lavender with added Epsom salts and it helps a lot. But you do need proper thyroid dosage to get rid of that. It’s all so complicated. You also need b vitamins to be optimal too so I take Thorne b-complex. It has helped me some. You also need selenium for thyroid. I take thyroscript from sue cohens web site. I live in USA but I believe these companies will mail overseas. You may have something similar in the UK. Also amazon UK should have it. Hope this is some help
So you are in USA. I would definitely recommend the revolution d and also magnesium. Stopped my joint pains. Stop aging now is based in Florida is where I get revolution d. It is amazing how good it works. Rest I get on amazon. Get well. Let me know what happens hope you find some answers
Was it revolution d from stop aging now? I do take 400. Magnesium citrate also.
