Hi all just joined group today. I was diagnosed with a overactive thyroid just over two years ago. I was on carbimazole for a year before my endo suggested I have iodine treatment. That was 14 months ago and now have a underactive thyroid and take 175mcg of levothyroxine. I have read a few posts on here and I can relate too many other people's symptoms.Feeling tired when getting up and nodding off mid afternoon is a favourite. I have put on two stones in weight over the last year also. I would appreciate fellow sufferers advice with my medication and my weight problem.

Hi jamrod, welcome to the forum.

If you would care to post your last lab results, with ranges, I'm sure people would be delighted to help. But, without the numbers, we would only be guessing.

It does sound as if you are under-medicated, but there could be other factors. We won't know unless we see the right tests.

Hi greygoose,thank you for your kind reply. I have appointment with my GP next week and will ask for a print out of my latest blood test which I gave this week. I will post them when I have them.😄
