Tomorrow I am to have a blood test. Have stayed well clear of Drs and blood tests after the last one kindly raised me by 25! However, after listening to this one telling me TSH is everything, complete with little diagrams I gave up.
I have, however, got to have an urgent test tomorrow to determine kidney function and I see he has quietly added thyroid function to that!! Just have to turn up tomorrow and see if they can fit me in so going down early with no breakfast!!

Thanks. They keep putting me up and down by 25. Wish they would just leave me alone. Will have a Medichecks test when I am back from my holidays.

Tomorrow’s will be TSH only, that’s all our hospital does. I know now it will be in the 0.01 range and then they will take my hard won increase away. Good job I’ve squirrelled away a few extra tablets.

I don't think they can test anything without your permission so you could try denying permission for TSH test.
If you really don’t want your thyroid function testing by the gp why don’t you just cross it out on the form? You will probably get questioned by the gp if you do but it’s an option.
Think I will go along with it and fight my corner when the time comes
Well, have just had the blood test. If they find anything wrong with kidney function will get result today, if not all will be revealed tomorrow
