I did blood test last month and the results are tsh 0.011 Ft3 5.51 ft4 26.3.why my tsh is very low than normal range and ft4 increase?? Is it possible from hypo to hyperthyroid?? Cause the doctor told me i can’t get pregnant if my hypothyroid is abnormal.Need help 😭

Hi Falle, what were the ranges for your tests? How long have you been on 50mcg Levothyroxine?

Falle in reply toAurealis

Hello .. for Tsh 0.270-4.200 mIU/L

Ft3 3.10 - 6.8 pmoI/L

Ft4 12.00 -22.00 pmoI/L.

I’ve been taking this medication for two months this year.

How do you feel? On the one hand I think you look a bit over treated from results as T4 above range, T3 well in range and TSH below. Unless you’re not converting T4 well? Are you treating yourself?

Yes .. im still under medication since my appointment this coming week.

Falle - how are you feeling?

Your results look pretty good to me..

your FT4/FT3 ratio could be a little better but this might be down to nutrients.

Have you had your vitamins tested recently? Vit D, B12, Folate and Ferritin are the important ones.

I’m feeling good .. 😊 .. No the test lab didn’t take my Vit D but my B12 - 312 pmoI/L and Follate - 17.8 nmoI/L.. is ferritin is protein in the blood?? If yes my protein is 68 g/L

I’m glad you are feeling good 😊 that’s the most important thing

Ferritin is stored iron ... so not the same as protein, check to see if ferritin, transferrin or Iron was tested.

Falle in reply toHashi-Monster

sadly, my ferritin was not tested

Maybe mention Vit D and Ferritin to the doctor when you see them

It’s likely they will want to reduce your Levo dose - how long have you been on your current dose?

Will do on my next appointment this coming week 😊. About two months now.. im not sure whether im over medicated ..

You are a little bit over ... Hopefully the doctor will go on how you are feeling and not the test results

One option is to alternate days 25mg & 50mg

Falle profile image
Falle in reply toHashi-Monster

Do this Peripheral tremor test

1. Ask the patient to place their arms straight out in front of them

2. Place a piece of paper across the backs of their hands

3. Observe for a tremor (the paper will quiver)

It doesn't matter about your TSH. Having a low TSH won't stop you getting pregnant, it's not a thyroid hormone.

As for the FT4, I think you took your levo close before the test, didn't you. It's not possible for your FT4 to go that high on 50 mcg levo. And, it's not possible to go from hypo to hyper. You should leave a gap of 24 hours between your last dose of levo and the blood test.

Have you had your antibodies tested?

I was being told to fast at 8 pm before i get blood test the next morning. Is it possible due to the medication?.no, i had no antibodies tested.

Medication? You mean levo? I don't think so. I very much doubt that 50 mcg could make your FT4 go that high.

So, you didn't eat between 8 pm the previous night, and the blood test in the morning - what time in the morning? What time did you take your last dose of levo before the blood test?

You need to ask for your antibodies to be tested, to know if you have Hashi's.

Are you taking any other medication? Are you taking biotin?

I took my medication in the morning a day before my blood test. I took my blood test around 8 ish the next day. Will ask the doctor this coming appoint regarding antibodies. I only took vit E

OK, so it is possible that you do have Hashi's. I can't think of any other explanation for your results. But, the problem is, it's doubtful your doctor will understand that. But, get them tested, anyway. You need to know. :)
