After checking off quite alot of the symptoms in line with a thyroid problem and being deficient

Gp has only ordered TSH levels to be checked.

i rang and asked why others were not requested as advised to be told they dont check anything else other than TSH.

so i asked what my levels were back in october 2017 when Vitamin D deficiency was flagged up.

TSH -1.4 & Vitamin D - 22

i was put on 50,000U of vitamin D a week however im still suffering with joint & muscle aches & pains especially in my knees, elbows & wrists which is what they said was due to the vitmin D levels.

Since Gp has said they dont check any other thyroid function what do i do from here?

the attached photo is what Gp has requested this time

Those of us that can't get all the relevant tests done with our GP get private tests done with Medichecks or Blue Horizon.

Even though you're getting ferritin and Vit D checked with your GP, pesonally I would go for the thyroid/vitamin bundle as it's better value and will give you B12 and folate as well, plus FT4, FT3 and thyroid antibodies, thus completing the picture.

Just run TSH, t4, t3 bundle. And do it with medichecks when they have voucher code I think Thursday's.

Also worth checking their website as I got lucky and they had 20% off one Sunday. Those three tests set me back then 35 quid ONLY.

Don't do anything you don't have to or your GP agreed to do on NHS.
