I have booked myself in for a full thyroid check - T4, T3, FT4, FT3, TSH, both antibodies plus the vitimans and ferretin, iron etc related to the thyroid. Should I fast before this? And if so, how long for?

Just eat as normal day before
Blood test as early in morning as possible and nothing apart from water beforehand
If you normally take Levo at bedtime, or first thing in morning, delay taking until straight after blood test
Then you can take Levo immediately after test, and have breakfast just over an hour later
If you are taking vitamin B complex, or any supplements containing biotin, remember to stop these 3-5 days before any blood tests, as biotin can falsely affect test results
How did you get on with your tests ? Do you have the results to share ?
