Accident happened yesterday. Wondered if anyone has any experience or knowledge of the effects of autoimmunity and use of emergency contraception. Or anyone used emergency contraception and had positive or negative experiences. Think I may need a coil as I think I may have ovulated today.
I am likely to have either Graves or Hashimoto’s - am awaiting the results of Graves antibody test.
Thank you

Hi there i have hashis/graves but when i used the emergency pill a few years back i was not diagnosed then-to be fully effective they do say its better taken in the 48 hours of having sex. I used it 2 days later in the morning and was very effective, it just made me feel a little sick, luckily ive not had to use it again😊. Hope info ok-try to sort it tomorrow morning but also check with pharmacist to use it with any meds you are on-good luck.😨
I had to use once several years ago. I had not been diagnosed yet, but was definitely hypo at the time, and swinging back and forth. LOL. It didn't cause any further distress THAT way, I don't believe, but my female monthly issues were quite heavy the next month, and I bloated pretty bad, and had a general yucky feeling for a few days after taking... To me it was well worth it, as I was in no position to be having a child
