My test report any suggestions??

Hi this is my thyroid function result go increased my dose50mcg so now I'm taking 100mcg also he has given scan for goiter bcoz my voice become havier and I feel pain in my neck when I speak

It's normal for dose increases to be in 25mcg increments, wait 6 weeks, retest, increase again if necessary. A 50mcg increase is really too much, you are actually doubling your dose. My suggestion would be to only increase by 25mcg at the moment and the other 25mcg if necessary in a few weeks' time.

So what I do now?? I have taken my prescription and the medicine comes 50mcg (tablet size) although he said that if I feel rapid heart beat or other heart issue go straight to A&E

Should I go again to gp and tell about your advice??

You can cut a 50mcg tablet in half, either with a pill cutter or craft/Stanley knife.

Also, I am not advising you what to do, it is my suggestion and what I would do knowing that dose changes ideally should be in 25mcg increments. We are all different in our dose requirements and how we react to dose changes. Increasing by 50mcg means that it could be too much and give you symptoms of overmedication, whereas taking it more slowly means that you can gradually work up to the correct dose and not overshoot it.

Thank you for your advice I will definitely discuss this to gp what my experience is with gp that they are not well trained to treat hypothyroid

I went to the gp he said because I have too symptomatic that's why he double up the dose and said let go this for four weeks after that we will do test and see
