Now on 100mcg Levothyroxin and due another blood test - and I suspect another dose increase. (Diagnosed hypo under a year ago.) My psoriasis (which I've had almost all my life) has flared quite badly in recent weeks. I know hypothyroidism can cause/exacerbate psoriasis, but has anyone had a flare that they believe is caused by Levothyroxin? Or could it be that the psoriasis flare is because my body is not in equilibrium, and that this may calm down once I reach an optimum dose?

Do you have Hashimotos ? If so going gluten free may help 😊 Did you increase your VitD as suggested in your earlier post ?
Ah yes you do have Hashimotos.

According to Izabella Wentz the Thyroid Pharmacist approx 5% with Hashimoto's are coeliac, but over 80% find gluten free diet helps significantly. Either due to direct gluten intolerance (no test available) or due to leaky gut and gluten causing molecular mimicry (see Amy Myers link)
But don't be surprised that GP or endo never mention gut, gluten or low vitamins. Hashimoto's is very poorly understood
Changing to a strictly gluten free diet may help reduce symptoms, help gut heal and slowly lower TPO antibodies
Ideally ask GP for coeliac blood test first

Before being diagnosed as having an underactive thyroid - and yes, Hashimotos as well - I had tried gluten free, along with removing the nightshade plants from my diet to help the psoriasis. I did this for 3 months - and saw no change. With the amount of travelling I do for work now (and in particular the places I go), maintaining a gluten free diet is not always achievable. (Food hygiene has to be my first thought.)
I have been tested for coeliac's and it was negative. I'm aware my antibodies have reduced substantially since initial testing ... so the psoriasis flare doesn't really stack with the Hashimotos per se - hence my query about whether Levothyroxin itself might be the cause.
I will be asking my GP to test antibodies again at next blood test ...
