Hi,

My son who is 4 has Down Syndrome & so far his thyroid testing has come back ok but I’m interested to see if anyone here has had any experience with this?

Down syndrome has very close association with underactive thyroid.

You need to monitor him routinely as he will most likely develop this condition.

Google hypothyroid and down syndrome - you'll find plenty on this.

Hi, i have a son with down syndrome.He was tested since 3 months old for His thyroid , at every 3-6 months.At 2.5 years old he was diagnosed with Hashimoto.Now he is 10 years old.Check regularly at every 6 months his thyroid levels.
