I’m wanting to start taking vitamin B2.. However, recommended daily intake is 1 mg.

I have got a supplement that is 100 mg.

Is it safe to take ? ( they are capsules so cannot cut it split them )

Thank you 😊

Milpol,

Could the dose be 100mcg? 100mg is a huge dose. I would NOT take 100 x the RDA.

Thanks Clutter. Yes the Solgar ones I’ve got are definitely 100 mg. Can you recommend a brand that just do a recommended daily allowance of just vitamin B2 ( not a B Complex blend).

Thanks.

Milpol,

I've just realised that most supplements, especially B vitamins, are several hundred, sometimes thousands, times the RDA so it should be fine to take 100mg B2.

You could try Jarrow sublingual B12 lozenges 1000mcg.

B12 is not absorbed well in the gut. Hence many B12 supplements are sublingual.

Hi SlowDragon, thank you for responding.

It’s just B2 I’m enquiring about as I’m taking B12 separately.

Thank you 😊
