It sounds like you have not been on 50mcg for very long? Has it even been a week?

You need to give it some time for the levels to stabilize and your body to adjust. At least a month if not more...

Yess I just started taking it today! I feel soo anxious, spaced out and tired of feeling like this

Just a thought...try skipping it totally for exactly one week. Then you can pick up at the 50 mcg dose. Doing that will lower your levels to half of what they have been and your distressing symptoms should ease up.

That is so, so wrong. Doses should be reduced by 25 mcg every six weeks, not 100 mcg in one go. No wonder you feel bad.

Do you have the range for that T4? Because 12.8 would not be high on most ranges.

Yes I feel soo bad I feel spaced out bad and I somethimes dont recogize myself how i am now like i was before the T4 is 12.8

greygoose profile image
greygoose in reply to Hildabaez1986

Yes, but what is the range for the T4? It's the number in brackets after the result - eg:

FT4 12.8 (12 - 22)

That's a range we frequently see, but ranges vary from lab to lab. So, we need the range to be able to interpret the result. If your range is something like that, then your doctors were very, very wrong to reduce your levo because you were under-medicated!

I even change my dr And i honestly dont know what to do anymore i feel soo bad

greygoose profile image
greygoose in reply to Hildabaez1986

Well, the first thing to do is find out the range for that FT4.

Do you have your results from when you were diagnosed?

Have you had your nutrients tested? Vit D, vit B12, folate, ferritin?

Have you had your antibodies tested?

Hildabaez1986 profile image
Hildabaez1986 in reply to greygoose

4.5 to 12.0

greygoose profile image
greygoose in reply to Hildabaez1986

That's a strange range for an FT4. It is Free T4, isn't it?

Not a usual range for Free T4 - are you in the UK?

helvella profile image
helvellaAdministratorThyroid UK in reply to Hildabaez1986

That might be a Total T4 test

(For example, Wiki offers a possible range of 4 to 11 μg/dL.)

Yes, could be.

Soo what should i do

greygoose profile image
greygoose in reply to Hildabaez1986

Well, you need to find out exactly what has been tested. If they've only tested TSH, TT4 and T3 uptake, that's not going to give you any information at all. You will have no idea if you're over-medicated, under-medicated, or what you are. And, you need the numbers for your nutrient tests. It's impossible to advise you without knowing the details.

Is it possible to get private tests where you live?

I just posted my lab results

greygoose profile image
greygoose in reply to Hildabaez1986

But there's absolutely nothing on there that pertains to thyroid. No thyroid hormones, no antibodies, no nutrients except sodium and potassium, which are good. I'm afraid those results don't help anybody to advise you on your thyroid problem. :(

My dr just checks on my tyroid

greygoose profile image
greygoose in reply to Hildabaez1986

So, has he tested your FT3? That's the most important number.

Antibodies are to do with your thyroid. The test will tell you if you have autoimmune thyroiditis. It's important to know if you have.

T3 Uptake ?? Is that what your asking me for?!

greygoose profile image
greygoose in reply to Hildabaez1986

No, that's an obsolete test that doesn't give any helpful information. Pointless in doing it. It's the Free T3 that is needed.

Are you in UK?

Do you have results from before dose was increased

You need to know TSH, FT3 and FT4 including the ranges

Also to test thyroid antibodies and vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12

Post results on a new post when you have them

Hopefully you can get private blood test and/or see good thyroid doctor.

You need to get antibodies tested, FT3 and FT4 plus vitamin levels

hi there

It looks like you have only posted the front page of your blood results, because right at the bottom of the sheet you sent us, is the title Thyroid Panel with TSH in bold - so presumably the results of those tests are at the top of the next sheet.

Have you got the next sheet? If not, ask your surgery for the 2nd sheet and post the results here as you did page 1.

best of luck - there are many knowledgeable people here who will help you, so you are not on your own.
