Can anyone advise how to deal with dry skin my blood levels are normal both by gp and private testing but my skin still feels really dry.
Any suggestions would be a great help 🙂

My dry skin was sorted by testosterone, but I got it prescribed by Prof Studd, who is private and dear. Dr Nick Panay does an NHS clinic at Chelsea and Westminster but the wait may be long x
Hi, I am struggling with this issue now myself. I've read that too much chloride in your water can dry skin. Should your water have a lot I believe you can purchase special filters. A humidifier is also recommended. I have just placed the cat's stainless steel water dishes on top of the floor heating vents & it seems to work for now. I've read that using a oil based skin cleaner is best. You read repeatedly that price of skin care products has no bearing on actual results. I've found that the more natural & more expense skin care oil formulations are far more pleasant to use. I haven't located one with results I'd go pitching for yet. I've read that it is recommended not to switch products constantly. Professional advice all says limit shower time to 5 lousy minutes using warm water. Is all this in line with your findings?
Thankyou that’s very interesting, I’ve been trying everything, all to no avail, I’ve always looked after my skin and eaten healthily but at my wits end at the moment with this problem. Will try some natural oil based creams as you suggest, many thanks 🦋
Dry skin is very specific to hypothyroidism, possibly you are a little undermedicated? Before I sorted my hypothyroidism I did find cod liver oil helped (swallowed not applied to skin!).
Hello Zizzy,
Have you had your vitamin D levels checked? When mine were very low, I had really dry sore skin
Best wishes
Debbie
