Hi everyone. I have just had my annual thyroid blood tests back and have been told my T3 levels are ok but my T4 levels are too high. I attach the results. Do you agree? Dr has recommended taking reduced level of thyroxine @ 175mcg.
Blood test results. : Hi everyone. I have just... - Thyroid UK
Blood test results.
I cannot read results or ranges except for TSH.
Do you have the T3 and T4 results with the ranges?

Baddels,
TSH is mildly suppressed below range and your FT4 is mildly over range. You took Levothyroxine an hour before your blood test and that may cause FT4 to peak over range. If your GP wants to reduce dose explain this and ask to remain on the current dose until after your next thyroid test unless you feel overmedicated.
Read Treatment Options in thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/about_... Email dionne.fulcher@thyroiduk.org if you would like a copy of the Pulse article to show your GP.
In future take Levothyroxine after your blood draw.
If you don't feel over medicated refuse to drop dose
Say they can retest in 3 months, but your are not dropping dose after just one test
Your FT3 (on other post) was no where near top of range
And/or you need full Thyroid evaluation before dropping dose
That would include thyroid antibodies
Also vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 testing
All thyroid tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and fasting and don't take Levo in the 24 hours prior to test delay and take straight after. This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, GP will be unaware)
