Is this a sign my conversion became bad!??

So i have dug out some really old thyroid blood tests from 2011 and 2012 and have noticed that my TSH was always as i thought below 1 but my FT4 seem to start from around 15 then through the years it has crept up to top of the range and over the range! Does this mean my conversion has become bad?.. i do not know my ft3 from years ago as they was never tested...

Im now at the point where my ft4 is high but tsh is also high!??

when first diagnosed my t4 was 50% over range to get a T3 of mid range while the TSH was just off suppressed and I felt like crap . Of course it took a private test to show this as all the NHS were testing was TSH . When confronted with the labs the doc was gobsmacked and said I'll refer you to an endo. Told her not to bother and walked away. Done my own thing .

So definitely connversion problem for u then, r u now self medicating with t3?

I thought i would try and solve the mystery myself of why my tsh and ft4 is high and see if there was some sort of pattern on my bloods as up to now 2 of my endos have just put my dose up and down from 75 to 100 to no avail..

Hoping my 3rd endo sees sense..

ThyroidObsessed,

You can't tell what your conversion is without a FT3 result.

If FT4 has been persistently increasing until it was over range and TSH remained low you were probably being overmedicated.

Yeah i thought this too... but surely the tsh would be more and more surpressed too? But the tsh stayed slightly below 1 through the years? ...

ThyroidObsessed,

In the normal way of it yes, the higher FT4 goes conversely the lower TSH goes. We already know there's something not right with the way your TSH responds as it shouldn't be high with high FT4. It looks like your feedback loop is broken. I think you really do need a thyroid specialist not just an endo or consultant who deals with diabetes and thyroid.

I will just have to hope this new endo is more knowledgable then, as im certain they wont think i need a specialist...

And i certainly cant afford one :-(
