Some brands give some people side effects so it's very possible. If your brand is Teva then a lot of members have had problems and side effects with it.

Thank you, I have deleted it, ha ha, predictive text. The manufacturer is Actavis .
OK, well some members don't get on with Actavis, although Teva is the one we hear about more often. So, you could be reacting to fillers, and maybe lactose as RFU has mentioned. Have you tried a different brand? If that's the only brand you've used, ask for a different one next time and see how you go. Teva is lactose free if lactose is your problem.
Not sure how would I find out?
No, I don't think so
Can't rule out that wil have a talk with my pharmacist, thanks
If you take an antihistamine an hour before your medication for a few days and feel better then some filler isupsetti g you so ask pharmacistcabout another brand. There are several fillers in our meds, they bulk it up and keep it stable so it's a case of trying other brands till you find one whose fillers you are ok with. Then make sure you doctor puts it in your notes and on your prescription and check with the pharmacist that this has been noted on their records.
Thank you
I was on mercury pharma 100 and suffered with very bad gastric issues. I changed to 50 mg tablets less fillers and no problems with two 50 tablets.
For some reason there are less fillers in the 50 tablets.
Not sure I quite understand what you are saying.
Is one 100 microgram tablet heavier than two 50 microgram tablets?
Or are you saying there are fewer actual ingredients?
Fewer fillers in the 50 microgram tablets, this is what my pharmacist said. It worked for my stomach issues with the 100 tablet. Can only speak from my own experience.
It is common in the United States and other countries which have levothyroxine in many doses that they contain dyes/pigments. It is also usual for the 50 microgram dose to be white - without any dyes or pigments - usually said to be for those who are intolerant of dyes and pigments. Therefore, switching to the 50 microgram tablets is well-known in such countries.
Within the same make, all UK levothyroxine tablets from any one of the actual manufacturers have the same list of ingredients for all dosages. That is why I am trying to understand exactly what was being suggested.
