Anyway my private endo finally got in touch with my gp to say I needed t3 also give dose
My gp surgery rang me this morn stating they can’t perscibe I had a row with the surgery pharmacist telling him about prof toft . Then put through to my doctor who didn’t back down either no way can we perscibe quoted hands are tied
My next process is to complain to health social care trust
Also my brother is trying to source it from Romania as he is out there working
Thanks for all your advice in regarding this issue of having my t3 stopped
Your surgery probably has their hands tied and I expect if an NHS endo prescribed T3 initially then your surgery may fund it if your CCG allow it.
If you can get a private prescription ask for it to be 20mcg and you can get Thybon Henning at a reasonable price. I believe Clutter has information about this.
I asked the surgery pharmacist he told me we can complain to Belfast health social care . We have no government in this damn country there all b——y useless
My surgery have also been notified. I think it is the doctors who have to follow the guidelines laid down or changed and doctors cannot make a decision if something is withdrawn.
I still think that if someone's been on T3 it is disgraceful to remove it. Or if an Endo suggests it should be prescribe but he wont give a prescription. If it is aprivate prescription T3 will be an exorbitan cost which many couldn't pay for a lifetime.
Yes my gp was very nice today he explained that only nhs endro can ask them to perscibe it . I think I will ask my endro if I can now attend his nhs clinic
Isn't it ridulous the stress they are causing patients who can well do without extra problems particularly in not being able to trial a thyroid hormone that may resolve their clinical symptoms. They are heartless.
Last week a member posted that she had to be rushed into A&E as she had myxedema coma. That shows the inefficiency and dreadful consequences of doctors decisions. She didn't die but I don't know how long it will take to remedy her health.
