Depends on your level. Have you tested? It's a very high amount to be taking unless you are severely deficient. Excess D3 is stored and can reach toxicity level. Also, when taking D3 there are important cofactors needed vitamindcouncil.org/about-v...

The Vit D Council recommends a level of 100-150nmol/L.

Considering how long you've been taking 10,000iu your level is rather low. Are you taking that amount daily? If so, do you have an absorption problem? Leaky gut? Low stomach acid? Hashimoto's?

You need magnesium so that the body can use the D3.

You need K2-MK7 so that the extra uptake of calcium aided by taking D3 is directed to bones and teeth and away from arteries and soft tissues where it can be deposited and cause problems.

I think Hashimotos.

TPO ANTIBODY 970 (<34)

TG ANTIBODY 277.5 (<115)

I take 10,000IU daily. Thanks

Then you very likely have an absorption problem. I will ask SlowDragon to give you her links and information.

OK, so you need Magnesium as well.

You will be better with an oral spray for D3 for best absorption as you have Hashimoto's

See her first post - significantly under medicated

Many of us find Better You vitamin D mouth spray works best as it avoids the gut poor gut function

If your gut was functioning correctly you'd only need 2000iu approx. The fact you have been taking such high dose with such little effect underlines this

Essential to test for coeliac before trying absolutely strictly gluten free diet

Low stomach acid can be an issue

Lots of posts on here about how to improve with Apple cider vinegar or Betaine HCL

I would take 5000 IU's through the winter and then re-test in the Spring.
