Greentrees1,
Try an independent pharmacy. They are usually able to order the makes their customers want. Concordia customer service should be able to help you concordiarxinternational.co...
Im having the same problem. Ive emailed concordia today, not had a reply yet.
Concordia is the company they helped me find suppliers then I sked my pharmacy to use one of the suppliers who stock it. My pharmacy tried to tell me they dont make it anymore and that teva was made my the same company so I did my own homework. They only seem to be able to source 25mcg in mp though. But thats probably just what my pharmacy says.
Boots in Margate do. You can ask your usual pharmacy to order in the specific brand you prefer and take your prescription elsewhere if they fail to. And don’t be fobbed off with 25mcgs if they don’t.
I work in a pharmacy and all pharmacies have different suppliers. Because levothyroxine is a generic they won’t all stock that specific brand because people generally take any brand of a generic because so many manufacturers make generics.
Chain pharmacies generally have to order from one wholesaler. I used to work for an independent and we could order from any supplier we wanted so you will probably have more luck trying independents.
I’m in Scotland and in my ten years of working in pharmacies I’ve never seen 50mcg in mercury pharma brand. We always stock 25mcg though so you could maybe double up? At least then your guarenteed to always get the brand you need.
Well I haven't been able to get the 50mcg ones and I have to wait to see if the GP will write a script for 25mcg. Concordia have said i need to get my phamacist to call them. But they just say their supplier hasn't got them.
Phamacy won't do a special order as it triples the cost! At least I can tell my GP I need a script for 25mcg tabs. I can't deal with this fight every month...
Get mine from Boots each time with no problem.
I've just been to boots today. They made a couple of calls and said they can't get it! So annoying...
I had problems getting 50mcg but the Asda pharmacist phoned around and got them for me. Have you tried an Asda pharmacy?
No. I didn't. The nearest Asda is 30 minutes drive though and it's not somewhere i drive near.
I didn't know they existed! As I'm only on 50mcg a day, i think I'll just get the 25mcg ones from my nearest pharmacy. I just hope they don't mess with my t3 as that would be even worse.
