Hello again.
I have been on carbimazole 5 mg for 6 weeks a had blood test done 2 days ago.
6 weeks ago, my TSH was 0.09 (0.30-5.00)
It is now 1.85.
Does that mean I am in the normal range now?
Thank you for your comments

The thyroid levels (FT3 and FT4) are usually more relevant than TSH, but from previous posts, it seems you were diagnosed with sub-clinical hyperthyroidism (TSH below range, FT3 and FT4 normal).
It does look as though your TSH level is now within range, and that your symptoms have been relieved.
For patients with full-blown hyperthyroidism, carbimazole treatment is usually continued for 12-18 months, but if your thyroid levels started out as normal, I guess this could cause them to drop too much (how were they this time, as compared to previous tests ?) If the endo decides to take you off carbimazole, I would ask about the chances of recurrence - it would seem reasonable for you to have your blood checked, perhaps every six months initially, and annually once things appear to have settled down.
The endocrinologist phoned yesterday but my gp didn’t do T 3 and 4. She said to have that done through her before I see her in March but she was happy with the TSH results. Feeling poorly today but I have UC too which affect my joints plus a urine infection. Going away tonight for a week. Hope I am going to forget my health issues for a week.
Thank you.
It is at this point you need to make sure that you do not go any further in the other direction.
Some people whow are hypo do not feel well with a TSH over 1. The 5mg dose of Carbimazole has given you a TSH of over 1. If you carry on with this dose you will probably become more hypo.
You could carry on with the same dose until your next test or you could ask your Endo/GP if you could lower to 2.5mg daily.
