I am fortunate that I have been getting T3 prescribed on the NHS. So far it has been Thybon but today my pharmacist gave me T3 made by Morningside Healthcare. I rang him to ask why the change. He explained that their supplier couldn't provide Thybon at the moment - not sure if this was out of stock or.... Has anyone used T3 from Morningside Healthcare? I was given Teva once and came out in a horrid rash. I know that I am fortunate to get T3 on the NHS (and yes that should be the case for everyone who needs it).
Best wishes

Thybon Henning would have been special import - but cheap at around £30 for 100 tablets of 20mcg
Morningside Healthcare is new NHS generic supplier (along with Teva and Mercury Pharma). All three are charging NHS roughly same price of around £250 for 28 tablets!
I have found Morningside Healthcare very very much better than Mercury Pharma. (Which was much weaker than Uni Pharma )
Some others have posted that they prefer it. I have seen one post saying couldn't get along with it
I have not tried Teva (would be very reluctant in the light of many poor reactions to Teva T4)
Prof Toft - article just published now saying T3 is likely essential for many
Thankyou Slowdragon for your reply. I am going to go back to pharmacist after Christmas and ask why he can't get Thybon. He did tell me the previous (now retired) pharmacist did import it and told him to continue doing so. It seems immoral to pay so much. Not sure who to lobby but will start with GP and then local MP.
