T3 change of manufacturer

Hi

Last Friday my wife picked up my T3 from the pharmacy , 3 boxes of 20mcg of Liothyronine manufactured by Morningside health care, I take 20 mcg x 3 per day, Saturday I started to feel nauseous and had a headache, progressively getting worse, anxiety through the roof , the T3 I was prescribed before was manufactured by MercuryPharma liothyronine , what can cause these problems?

The different fillers in different brands can affect how we absorb and metabolise different T3 brands. Ask your Pharmacist to source Mercury Pharma for you and see if they will swap the tablets. If they have difficulty sourcing MP they should contact concordiarxinternational.co...

I just got off the phone to my surgery and was told I can pick up a new proscription but if I need another proscription for the same medication I will need to see a GP. I was told I cant return the morningside T3.

Prescription will usually state Liothyronine and doesn't usually state whether it should be Mercury Pharma, Morningside or Teva. If your pharmacist can't obtain Mercury Pharma ask for the prescription back and take it elsewhere. My independent high street pharmacy can usually order and obtain Liothyronine within 24 hours if they don't have it in stock. Mercury Pharma customer service which I linked to above is usually very helpful. Pharmacist can dispose of the Morningside T3 for you even if they can't swap it for MP.

I also was changed on to Morningside Healthcare T3 from MercuryPharma T3 and am getting headaches and nausea and not feeling myself and wondering if it's to do with the new tablets. Is there any way we can prove it's the case. Also is the Morningside Healthcare T3 cheaper than MercuryPharma T3?

I mainly asked because I have been trying to find out via the web what fillers are in Morningside T3 but no luck. Most companies are good at giving this information but perhaps I have missed the correct link somehow.

I changed to Morningside Healthcare and find it really absolutely fantastic. Easily the best T3 for me, that I have tried so far.

Much more potent than Mercury Pharma.

Ive got no choice, I cant get MercuryPharma T3 , I'll have to take the Morningside Healthcare T3. I will take my prescription and try another pharmacy tomorrow.

My local Boots would only supply Mercury Pharma ....so that would suit you

Frank, it seems from other people’s replies that the Morningside might be more powerful. I was wondering if a slightly lower dose might help you? Just a thought as it is such a powerful drug. I really hope you’re ok. I know how you feel. I take 40mcgms of T3 only (no T4). Take care x

I was on the Mercury Pharma T3 for about 18 years,then last year I was given the Morningside T3 as the Pharmacist said he couldn't get the Mercury one.To start with it didn't agree with me,gave me migraines.I had some Mercury one left so went back on that.However I thought I've got to persevere with the Morningside one if that's all they can get,so took it for about 3 weeks,then it improved.When I went back on the Mercury one again I didn't feel so well on that! I think it's not necessarily the brand, it's just swapping back and forth that doesn't agree with me.My pharmacist gets the Morningside one each time now and I am fine with that.
