Feeling hypothyroid

Hello. Diagnosed hypothyroid in 2005 taking low dose levothyroxine 50mcg from 175mcg, is it ok to add back in T3 which is now low? Symptoms are puffy eyes, goitre, feeling cold, coldness to skin, constipation, fatigue. Thanks

TSH 0.02 (0.2 - 4.2)

Free T4 22.5 (12 - 22)

Free T3 3.1 (3.1 - 6.8)

Yes, your results indicate you need T3.

Is your T3 prescribed? If so why are you not taking it?

Why only 50mcg Levo if you were on 175mcg before?

Have you had thyroid antibodies tested (TPO and TG) - were they raised - Hashimoto's?

Have you had vitamins and minerals tested? If so post results and say if you are supplementing:

Vit D

B12

Folate

Ferritin

Iron Panel

Full Blood Count

Thanks T3 I am no longer taking since my endo told me not to anymore. I have been told to start again with dosing. Will post other results now
