So im still trying to stabalise my thyroid levels with an endo after a year of trying different brands and different dosage, im now on mercury pharma which had been the best of a bad bunch (least side effects) at 87.5 dose and taking them in three 25mcg and half of 25mcg... i know i need to increase after recent bloods were TSH 10.1 (0.27- 4.5) FT4 20.3 (11- 23) FT3 4.03 (3.1- 6.8)...
MY QUESTION IS SHOULD I KEEP TAKING THE 25MCG SO THAT WOULD BE 4 X 25MCG OR TAKE 2 X 50MCG, WHATS THE DIFFERENCE? BARING IN MIND IM VERY SENSITIVE TO CHANGE π£ ...

It's not often that a person will have a reaction to a different dose of the same brand but it has happened to a couple of members. The only way to tell is to try different doses. You are very undermedicated so if you have sufficient 25mcg you might want to stick with 4 x 25mcg.
Thanks for your advice clutter, iv been taking it very slowly only increasing by 12.5 as im so sensitive to side effects, im not on t3 neither as my endo says my ft3 looks good...
But before when i have increased to 100mcg of levo my ft4 goes over range and it feels herrendous yet my ft3 doesnt go over..
I am gonna try once again to increase to 100mcg on mercurypharma and hope for the best...
Nope π.. my endo has just put me up and down on dosages and said this is just what happens with the thyroid e ery now and again.. even though i was stable for 9 years!.. when the ft4 went over range and tsh was at 2.5 when i was on 100mcg of actavis she told me to lower it to 75mcg because i was having bad symptoms because of the high ft4 it was making me crazy in the head it was horrible...
Oh im sorry actually my endo did test the Pituitary gland which came back normal and also checked for absorption problems which also came back normal...
I think if i go up to 100mcg it wilk push my ft4 over again i think i just need to take it slowly.. my tsh dropped down from 18 to 10 in 6 weeks im gonna give it another 4 weeks at 87.5 and get tested again, what do u think?
Was it a pituitary imaging test? I was wondering whether TSHoma which is a benign TSH secreting hormone had been ruled out? Resistance to thyroid hormone is something else that might be considered.
Im sorry im not aware of any of these things and do not understand them, surely my endo would have tested for these if he thought so...
I believe my levels became unstable this time last year when i was changed to the teva brand.. and because i have changed brands a few times, and now settled on mercurypharma that my body and levels are adjusting.. also i stopped the contraceptive pill 8 months ago so i think that has had an impact too π
Yeah that is true.. its very strange.. and i feel like im going around in circles as although my symptoms are better, my levels are back to exactly where they were this time last year...
After seeing my endo 3 times and just changing my dose each time, she has now told my doctor that because im breathless sometimes and i said i may after 8 years have become intolerant to levo that i should be referred to an immunologist for allergy testing..
Well mention TSHoma and impaired sensitivity to thyroid hormone. Endo needs to investigate further. She can contact tertiary endos at Addenbrookes for advice.
