Thyroid cancer treatment will not affect your ability to have children. Thyroid cancer is not caused by food or diet, and food and diet will not cure thyroid cancer. Treatment is surgery to remove the malignant thyroid lobe or the entire thyroid gland if it is an aggressive type. If you need follow up radioactive iodine ablatement you will be advised to avoid becoming pregnant for six months. After that you should be fine.

When you have blood tests after removal of your thyroid gland, always get the earliest possible appointment, fasting (you can drink water) and allow a 24 hour gap between levothyroxine and blood test and take it afterwards.
Levothyroxine should be taken on an empty stomach with one full glass of water, usually when we get up and wait an hour before eating. Food interferes with the uptake of thyroid hormones. Some prefer a bedtime dose, in that case you'd allow a gap of 2.5 to 3 hours after food.
