So admittedly lacking in the choice of bloods tests given by my gp
TSH 0.02 (.55-4.78 range)
Free T3 4.9 (3.5-6.5 range)
Taken mid morning no medication, tea or breakfast beforehand
However I was tail ending my last supply of T3 from 37.5mg down to 12.5mg over 4 weeks and was into the final week.
My gp automatically called me in with the overmedicated rubbish - which we have discussed rest pulse 45/50 without T3 (60/62 with) my in the bone feelings of exhaustion despite a not bad nights sleep, trying to keep weight stable with gluten free, sugar free diet of around 1700kcal a day and gaining around a stone very quickly! Dry itchy skin and the myriad of other rubbish that has increased 10 fold since running out of T3, anyway she supports me; she has said the sourcing own T3 thing is not ideal but of it makes me feel better they will monitor whatever I need on a 4 monthly basis, that I can keep my T4 dose with the suppressed TSH but to be mindful of osteoporosis risks esp as I am peri menopausal and that if I needed anything I could just call as I knew far more than her about what my own body needed - breakthrough!! After years of unsupported self medicating with my old practice and blatant disregard for how unwell I was finally here 2 counties away I have found what I needed .... now I just to find some poxy T3!

Your TSH would have been a little higher if the test and been done earlier. Ideally, free T3 should be in the top quarter of the range (upper 5s), so no way are you overmedicated.
Exactly but with my old gp they reduced my dose of T4 and wouldn’t ever listen to what I was saying about symptoms still remaining.
I always used to joke that I was half lizard as I needed a hot rock to sit on to feel warm - once I started getting the T3 inside I actually felt warm from within it was most odd yet very welcome!
You read my mind I have come home and having had a nap as I stupidly overdid it at the gym - I am ordering some private bloods for just that and the rest of my thyroid.
I do supplement with spatone but as ferritin etc was low I do need to check again, I have been supplementing b12 and that might skew my result too.
