Please advise if it’s OK to take thyroxine as normal before having a CT scan with contrast. They are looking at enlarged Trachea, which could mean problem with thyroid. I have this done tomorrow.

McDermott,
Short answer is I don't know. If the hospital didn't advise you not to take medication prior to the CT scan I would think it is okay. It won't do any harm to wait and take thyroxine after the CT scan though.
When I had CT with contrast of trachea my appointment letter told me to take usual medication that morning so I took my Levothyroxine & other Meds.
