Spain prescription?

Hi everyone, does anyone have any reputable online pharmacies from Spain (or maybe some other country) that ship levothyroxine to UK/Ireland?

I have prescription for it. I would be grateful if anyone can send it to PM.

Thanks a lot

peter551,

We might be better able to understand how to help if we understood why you need or want to get levothyroxine from Spain (or elsewhere) rather than within the UK or Ireland.

As you have a prescription, it is not obvious why you do not simply go to a local pharmacy and get the levothyroxine dispensed.

Hi helvella,

Thank you for your help. I just recently moved to Ireland from Croatia and have prescriptions from my private endo for euthyrox which is not available in Ireland as far as I can find online (its basic levothyroxine but under different name).

Spain has it so I was looking to just order from there until I have a chance to pop back to Croatia for a year supply (like I did with T3). Thanks for your help

According to my imperfect notes, Euthryox is possibly available in:

Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Latvia, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Sweden

However, be warned, the products might not all be identical! And I know nothing about your chances of getting the medicine sent against a Croatian prescription. Nor do I know anything about the legality of personally importing to Ireland.

Thats a pretty complete list you have :) My endo told me that prescription issued in any EU member should be valid so I hope he was right about that. Thanks a lot for your help helvella, I will keep searching

Although a prescription might be valid, I think that it is up to each pharmacy to decide whether to accept a "foreign" prescription.

It might have been easier had it been written for "levothyroxine"!

It would probably be easier but that is a lesson for the future, next time I will tell my endo to give me generic name. It is funny because for T3 i have 3 prescriptions (generic liothyronine, cytomel and thybone) as he was concerned about me finding it.

Thanks a lot Meg, I forgot to update my situation, I was able to fill my prescription in Ireland after some searching around pharmacies. Thanks again for suggestion and help!

i get 3 monthly UK prescriptions which i fill in france for t3 cynomel but i collect when in france rather than post, some countries are against postal drugs. I do know people who send prescriptions to germany and get them sent back to uk. Best to check what import/postal rules are in ireland first or they can confiscate.
