Feeling horrible so had these tests done, previous ones done in April. They are normal with a slightly raised CRP. I’m getting most of the symptoms, giddy spells, racing heart, irritable, tired, thinning hair, nails the list goes on. I know it’s wrong to want them to be abnormal results but at least there’s a reason then. Have any of you any comments to help me come to terms with this. I would also mention is had over active thyroid from my late teens to 28 (in pictures you can see a swelling in my throat when I was quite young)which no one picked up until I tried to get pregnant. Also my mum and her sister had thyroid problems as does my aunt on dads side. I’m whittering on now. Any way maybe I need to look at my diet and supplements and see if I can make some changes although I do have quite a balanced diet, don’t eat cakes, biscuits or sweets, take a yoga class and have a personal trainer both once a week and my husband and I try to walk every day!
I’ve added the results as a photo, not sure if this is right

Well you DO have Hashimoto disease aka autoimmune thyroid and so your other levels will doubtless fluctuate even if in range here.
Your ferritin needs to be 70 plus, your folate nearer 30, your vitamin d over 100. SeasideSusie has excellent advise on supplements. I do not have Hashimoto but have often read that a gluten free diet helps reduce antibodies attacking the thyroid. I'll give you a link to info on Hashimoto on Thyroid UK website. thyroiduk.org/tuk/about_the...
Hopefully someone who can be more helpful will be along soon but just wanted to assure you that there IS reason for the way you feel. Read learn and ask questions 🙂
Thank you for replying so quickly. When I read the comments from the Dr at Medichecks I wonder if it’s worth bothering to even go to the Drs!
“Your thyroid stimulating hormone, thyroxine and T3 are all normal which suggest healthy thyroid function.
Your levels of vitamin B12, folate and vitamin D are normal.
Your thyroglobulin antibodies are normal.
Your ferritin level is normal indicating healthy iron stores.
Whilst your CRP does not indicate inflammation the type of CRP test that you have had is one which can also indicate future risk of cardiovascular disease. I recommend repeating this test in 6-8 weeks to see whether it remains above 3. If it does then I recommend that you take a more aggressive approach to managing other cardiovascular risk factors such as blood pressure, cholesterol, diet, smoking and exercise levels.“
As you just read I’m excercising more than most and eat a good balanced diet I’ve never smoked and my blood pressure has always been perfect, I’ve never had a high reading in my life!!! What more can one do
This is why I feel miserable. I can’t see how I’m to convince my GP to give me medication on these results.
Sorry to sound so defeatist, I’m sure tomorrow will be a new day and I’ll be in a better frame of mind to research supplements and diet.
Your thyroid PEROXIDASE antibodies are 155, top of range is 34. They don't mention that I assume? It is asterisked Doctors comments are set comments and not individual to you... if in range they say all good where as just 'in range' is not good enough you need optimum in range, usually at least half way or near top. Get your nutrient levels up, consider gluten free and monitor your levels. ''hugs'' I do know how you feel. Maybe consider reporting so more knowledgeable members can advise you, sometimes posts slip through.
