Hi everyone. I've had my doc print me my latest Thyroid levels. Was so fascinated by what people knew just by looking at the results. My doc said my results are perfect. What do you think?
Thanks
Sarah

I doubt members will be able to comment because even using zoom, I can't read the results. It would be help members to help you if you could either upload a better image or type out the relevant results, please.
Hidden It depends on how you feel, of course, but with TSH at 3.15 (0.35-5.0) you are undermedicated. The aim of a treated hypo patient generally is for TSH to be 1 or below or wherever it needs to be for FT4 and FT3 to be in the upper part of their respective reference ranges when on Levo
FT4/FT3 would be useful but the lab probably hasn't done them because your TSH is within range.
Ferritin at 16 (12-250) is absolutely dire and I imagine causing you some symptoms. For thyroid hormone to work (that's our own as well as replacement hormone) ferritin needs to be at least 70, preferably half way through range. You should discuss this with your GP because low ferritin can suggest iron deficiency anaemia, and I would expect you to have a full blood count and iron panel done to see if this is the case, then I would expect iron supplements to be prescribed.
You can help raise your level by eating liver regularly, maximum 200g per week due to it's high Vit A content, and including lots of iron rich foods in your diet apjcn.nhri.org.tw/server/in...
Sjflash,
I think your doctor is easily pleased!
NHS won't diagnose primary hypothyroidism until TSH is >5.0 but TSH 3.15 indicates your thyroid is struggling or, if you are prescribed Levothyroxine, you are undermedicated.
Ferritin is optimal halfway through range. 16 is almost bottom of range. I would supplement Ferrous Fumarate 210mg and take each tablet with 1,000mg vitamin C to aid absorption and minimise constipation.
CRP is an inflammation marker. The lower the result the better it is.
Blood glucose and liver function tests are within range (normal). I can't read the Urea and Electrolye results and ranges.
I’m VERY poorly if my TSH gets above 0.1. The range is fine but it doesn’t apply to everyone, they’re supposed to take account of clinical presentation too.
Thank you so much for your advice. Having my iron tested......X
