What date were these blood tests?

2013? Or recent.

The TSH is far too high. How long have you been on 75mcg? When is your next blood test due? Did you ever have Thyroid Antibodies tested (TPO & Tg).

As you can see your FreeT3 is too low . Your FreeT4 is also very low.

Did you have any tests to check your Adrenals before starting your Levothyroxine.

Are you taking any other medications that might affect your Levothyroxine? Do you have any other results with dates?

Have you ever had blood tests to check nutrients levels of

Vitamin D

B12

Folate

Ferritin

Calcium

If not, ask GP for them.

No other medications should be taken at the same time as our Levothyroxine.

Hope this helps? xx

What blood tests are you having next week? Just Thyroid function?

Have you discussed all these low nutrients levels with your GP?

You should have prescribed Loading doses of Vitamin D of approx 300,000 IU in split doses over several weeks. Eg: 50,000 IU x once a week for 6 weeks / 20,000 IU x twice a week for 7 weeks. This would be followed by a daily maintenance dose and retesting would be required. Some people need higher maintenace doses. Look up the NICE guidelines for treatment of Vitamin D deficiency. ASK your GP about this - urgently.

Look at your LOW - BELOW range Folate and extremely low B12:

Are you going to be tested for Pernicious Anemia?

Have you been referred to Haematology?

Is your GP going to do more blood tests then TFTs? Full iron tests?

What is happening about low cortisol?

I usually write lists when seeing my GP or I forget stuff when I'm called in.

You have an awful lot to get sorted here. Hopefully you will get the right supplements presribed (including any injections you may be given).

If these were my results then I would write a list of all my symptoms. Another of all my results. And another of all my questions. I would be asking GP about each nutrient result and for urgent treatent / Specialist referal.

6 werks after of this week's TSH etc. you should have Thyroid tests again. Hopefully by then you will have been on all your supplements for 6 weeks and your Levothyroxine dose can be adjusted if your TSH is still high.

Yes, you can have those symptoms when hypo, because they are not specifically hyper symptoms. Lots of symptoms cross over and can be for either condition.

If those are your results on 75 mcg, then you are very under-medicated, and need an increase in dose. :)
