T4 now 18 and tsh 0.05- what does this mean?

So been on carbmazole for a month and my t4 was 33 and tsh 0.05

My recent results show my t4 is 18 and my tsh is 0.05- what does this mean as my t4 is now normal?

I have my first endocrinologist appt this week- what should I be asking them?

Is my tsh damaged?

Somebody will come along shortly who will give lots of advice but your endo will say what he wants you to do with regards to meds (hopefully)😨 etc, most people stay on carbi for 12 to 18 months as a titration dose. Your tsh is not damaged just still supressed, the same as mine originally but this is quite normal for tsh to remain supressed for a long time. You need to keep a eye out on your t4 and t3 levels with every 4 weeks blood tests as mine have really plummeted as have been left to it really as endo has dilly dallied too much so bloods are showing more to hypo and so endo has started me on a titration dose 2 weeks ago and feel like rubbish on it.

Carbimazole is doing its job and has reduced your T4 production. T4 18 is usually within range but as it is important to know where in range 18 is it is helpful if you also post the lab ref range (the figures in brackets after results).

It can take months for TSH to respond and it sometimes never does. As Rmichelle said, most patients will be prescribed Carbimazole for 12 - 18 months before weaning off and trying for remission.

They are perfect? Do you think they will increase Carbmazole as really don't want to go under

They dont increase as that will make you go hypo quicker but they may decrease/ titration and then its finding a dose that will suit your body- its difficult remaining stable.xx
