Cold sore and blood test

Right, so my blood test is due on Monday and I already had to postpone it due to fever which I had recently and today that blasted cold sore showed up (excuse my language), also my gums are yet again extremely sore and a bit swollen (nothing new).

How likely will that affect my blood work? Obviously I'm aiming for dose increase so would prefer my TSH wasn't affected in a wrong way. Shall I postpone it or it should be fine to go ahead with it?

G8nica,

I doubt that developing the cod sore will affect thyroid levels. Make sure the blood draw is early in the morning when TSH is highes and fast (water only) as TSH drops after eating and drinking. Take your Levothyroxine after the blood draw.
