I have enquired whether I would be accepted to give blood. I told them I had Hashi’s, was on Levo & Liothyronine, the response subject to a few things such as meds’ being stable, etc was yes I could donate. My question is would it be a healthy thing to do in my situation in terms of rejenerating some fresh blood afterwards? Any advice please?

I used to donate blood many years ago. They always used to ask if you were seeing a doctor/hospital about anything, and as I was at the time (hypo symptoms despite long-term treated hypo) then they didn't want it whilst I was under investigation.
If you don't have any problems at the time of blood donation, and I think they test your iron level (can't remember) to see if that's OK, then you should be fine. But, of course, things may have changed as it's about 20 years since I last donated.
Personally, I would be more concerned about the person that was going to receive that blood, rather than what giving it might do to me. Is it safe for them when one has Hashi's? Anybody know that for certain?
