Hello everyone does anyone have eye problems with hashimotos I have been having problems for about 3 years I have hashimotos was originally graves disease it's like this .out of the blue no warning I can and do get intermittent discomfort pulsing drawing in one or other eye .this can last intermittently for minutes to hours repeating over a couple of days . also get sharp pains all over the body anywhere anytime out of the blue again as with the eye these pains are often random come without warning and sudden and sharp. where as the eye discomfort is dull drawing pulsing. I've seen a optition (spelling) sorry. A eye consultant and now neurological doctor and I'm waiting for a brain scan but everyone is stumped .is anyone else experiencing this .

Hi pet-lamb,

Early on when I first started taking my Levo I had something similar, I too went to the optician and also the eye clinic at hospital but they just confirmed nothing was noticeably untoward.

Mine felt like something was holding back my right eye like it was catching and sometimes a feeling of pressure behind it. This all stopped once my results started improving and I started addressing depleted vitamin levels.

I have a sneaking suspicion mine was Hashi related as my antibodies were quite high.

Hope you get to the bottom of it.

Have they ruled out thyroid eye disease (TED) as you have Graves?

Thank you for your reply Clutter I had graves some 20+years ago but have autoimmune hashimotos now. I think they were thinking of TED but changed their mind .
