Well your test says your under medicated and need an increase.

When was this done and what has GP said

Do you have raised antibodies- autoimmune thyroid disease also called Hashimoto's

Have you had vitamin D, folate ferritin and B12 tested recently

If so add to post above including ranges

My GP is calling me on Monday afternoon regarding the result. I have had a load of blood tests today (I requested them as I have been feeling awful, including feeling like something autoimmune is going on)..., I think it includes some of the above, I will keep you posted, thank you for replying so quickly ♡

Also I didn't drink anything and did not take my tablet in the 24 hours before as I had read on posts on here, it was around 10 am in the morning ♡

Thank you Hidden ...I'm a nurse and don't know all of this intricate detail.

I have been feeling so I'll for so long that I don't know what it feels like to feel normal "my normal"...

Thank you for the link for the info, I will request it and will let you know all my other results when I get them.

Hope you have a lovely weekend x

Have you recently had changevin brand of Levothyroxine - eg to Teva?

Many people find Levothyroxine brands are not interchangeable.

Once you find a brand that suits you, best to make sure to only get that one at each prescription.

Your GP should increase dose by 25mcg and give you form for retesting after 6 -8 weeks on new dose

Ask at consultation if you have ever had thyroid antibodies tested to confirm if cause is autoimmune. If not been tested ask that they are.

Ask for vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 to be also tested at next blood test

Always take Levo on empty stomach and then nothing apart from water for at least an hour after. Many take on waking, but it may be more convenient and possibly more effective taken at bedtime

verywell.com/should-i-take-...

All thyroid tests should be done as early as possible in morning and fasting and if taking Levo don't take it in the 24 hours prior to test, delay and take straight after. This provides highest TSH

If you have high antibodies then seriously consider gluten free diet, you may be astonished

Thank you SlowDragon and Hidden , Doctor called, all results remain outstanding, increasing my Levothyroxine by 25mcg and bloods again in 8 week, I totally forgot to ask regarding the antibodies screen but will ask for this prior to my next blood test. Thank you both for your help. Jaqs x

Hi again SlowDragon and Hidden .....

So my results are in...

Serum vitamin B12 level 271 ng/L [110.0 - 914.0]

Serum folate level 10.4 ug/L [3.1 - 19.9]

VITAMIN D

Serum 25-Hydroxy vitamin D3 level 85 nmol/L [60.0 - 150.0]

Serum ferritin level 49 ng/mL [10.0 - 180.0]

GP comments; Normal result, no further action

Thank you for any advice or recommendations :)

I think I am going to explore the antibody tests privately as feel in view of all the above results being normal that my GP will probably not me happy to do. x

Hi Hidden and SlowDragon do you know how long these tests take to come back please. GP got Us and Es, ESR, Bone profile...with a comment sample haemolysed, most appear within normal range? Vitamin d, B12, Ferritin, etc, etc appear outstanding, as does my Hba1c and plasma glucose, any ideas, Regarding antibodies request to check for autoimmune thyroid can the doc say no or charge me. Thank you for your support x

You could do antibodies privately if GP won't - via Medichecks or Blue Horizon
