Medichecks blood test, type of needle?

Hi, I'm trying to arrange someone to take the blood sample when my medichecks kit arrives and they are asking what type of needle is included, if "butterfly shaped or old fashioned syringe". Does anyone know?

Cheers!

Kitten44,

The answer to your question is likely to depend on which Medichecks kit you've ordered. Therefore, the best person to answer will be someone from Medichecks.

I would give them a call , their number is 03450 600 medichecks.com/contact-us

Thanks, I did ring, but all they said was it is a "needle and vacutainer", so not much detail. I was hoping someone who has used them before would be able to say. It is the reverse T3 test (so full blood, not just finger prick).

I'm guessing then that it'll be the usual "old fashioned syringe" type.

This sounds like the butterfly shaped one that was mentioned to you en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winge...

It's not a butterfly

Looks a bit like a small gun/peg

If you pm me your email I can send you a photo
