Morning all.
Can somebody please confirm a list of what should be taken at my thyroid blood tests?
I only ever have TSH tested. After much research I believe I should be having an array of other tests as I still don't feel right.
Thanks

Ft3, Ft4, antibodies tgab and tpoab, Folate, FERRITIN, B12, vitamin d. I believe but check out the similar posts top right of screen
If in UK, the doctor's have been directed that we only have a TSH and T4 taken.
So, if we want to get an optimum of tests we have to go Private. I will give you a link:
thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/testin...
These tests are home pin-prick tests and make sure you are well hydrated a couple of days before.
TSH, T4, T3, Free T4, Free T3 and thyroid antibodies.
The test should be at the earliest possible, fasting (you can drink water) and allow a gap of 24 hours between last dose and test and take it afterwards.
GP should check B12, Vit D, iron, ferritin and folate.
If you read the link below why it is necessary to have both FT4 and FT3.
