Did you get a blood test via your GP? With those results your GP should have contacted you immediately to start your medication.

What did the GP say with results like that? I had a TSH of 67 & I was contacted straight away & started on Levothyronine. Did you get a copy of your test results because you asked for them? I'm a bit confused as to why you ask if you're entitled to medication. The answer is yes & you should be banging on the surgery door if you haven't been contacted!

Can I suggest you make an appointment on Monday. It's shocking that you haven't been contacted. You must feel awful.

That is disgraceful! My surgery where on the phone to me less than 12 hours after my blood test telling me I had to come in urgently. It was only that long because they were closed overnight.

I suggest you look very carefully into changing your GP!

Your GP should have phoned you immediately he received the results.

I'd be very wary of him now as I doubt he knows much. This TSH result must surely have been highlighted.

Mine did due to it being 100 but in the same breath asked me 'who ordered you to have a blood test'. I said I did so myself. This was after months of being told I had, this that or the other. I even had an operation to remove something from my throat which I didn't have.

I had blood tests but none for hypothyroidism until a first-aider suggested it as he could see my swollen neck.

Phone surgery on Monday if he doesn't and request a prescription for 50mcg of levo and tell him you've had to ask for advice from healthunlocked Thyroiduk.orguk as you feel so awful.

Not what you're looking for?
