Should I self medicate

Hi saw gp 2,day re latest bloods tsh 3.9(0.27-4.20) t4,14.3 last results tsh 2.7(0.27-4.2) told him my symptoms weight loss/ gain iv lost57kgs since diagnosed march 2017 I have no appetite zero energy stiff joints brain fog weight gain etc then my appetite returns with a vengeance I'll have large meal 1-2 hrs later I'm starving again iv taken to drinking high protein weight gain shakes between meals I wake middle of nite to eat I have tons of energy always on the go,sweaty lose the weight iv put on eating at least,4.500. 5000 Calories a day ( all healthy) then after2-3 weeks i start to feel strange my appetite drops to zero no energy tiredness throbbing pain in thigh bones I asked gp about slightly raised tsh and showed him a copy of Dr torts pulse arrival and a copy of understanding thyroid disorders which he did not read just left them on his desk and proceeded to tell me it was my medication far mental health issues that I have to take clozaril, escatrilaprm diazapam and zopliderm last two I only take if I really need to he told me he could with draw the diazapam to alleviate my symptoms told me not to believe every thing on the internet in a really patronizing way I almost begged him for an increase of my levo(been on 50mcg since marc2017)he refused I asked for a full blood test for t3 and the anti bodies he refused that as well saying I didn't need it because my bloods were OK I feel confussd and frustrated could any body advice me on what I should or shouldn't take any info wood be gratefullly received thanks

That is outrageous, how could doctors say that you don't need t3 test when t3 is the active hormone. Here in my country until last year doctors were also advised not to give t3 test because insurance doesnt cover for it.

I would definitely get tested for t3 test even if it comes out of my own pocket.

Can you see a different doctor? If not I would order some private blood tests that include T3 and antibodies and then go from there.
