Thyroid FT4 and TSH

Hello may i ask i had blood test for my thyroid. My result in FT4 is 16.8 and TSH is 2.30 . Can you explain this? Thank you

I'm not sure as my readings were much higher which mean my thyroid gland isn't up to par. The higher the reading, the more under active your thyroid. Look at the norms on your blood test and see where you are

Guessing you are not converting T4 to T3 adequately. Sounds like you would benefit from adding T3.

Several reasons why but you could have the faulty Dl02 gene, Hashimotos, liver problems..

Have you been diagnosed as having thyroid problems. Are you on Levothyroxine. We need more info

If not on Levothyroxine then this test is within range and probably normal/fine

If your on Levothyroxine, then most feel best with lower TSH.

If you have symptoms get vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 tested too. Always get actual results and ranges
