Do other autoimmmune flares affect thyroid levels?

Im feeling pretty unwell with my myositis at the moment. I had a recent telephone consultation with my Endo and my TSH isn't suppressed anymore and I need to increase my T3 and now back in clinic in 6 weeks.

I'm having ongoing issues getting my levels right always have but T3 has really helped for a start no more thyroiditis. Just not sure why it's not suppressed and now 5.56!

I did change beginning of August from uni pharma to Mexican T3 which I felt was stronger so reduced my dose and increased slowly so now on slightly less than before but maybe I just reacted to the change?

So much going on with other autoimmune diseases, treatment etc I'm just struggling juggling it all

MissFG,

Your TSH has risen because you are undermedicated after reducing dose. Autoimmune flares can affect thyroid levels by dumping hormone into the blood but this will raise FT4 and FT3 and suppress TSH.
