so last night i mailed tollesbury and asked them
had a reply this morning
Thank you for your e-Mail.
Eltroxin is no longer manufactured.
You should ask your pharmacist to supply you with levothyroxine made by Mercury Pharma - which is actually the same formulation as Eltroxin.
I hope this is useful.
i still have a few bottles of liquid so im ok for a while but really dreading the day i start back on tablets......i cant afford to buy my own T3 or NDT

I'm not sure the information you were given is correct? I understood that Eltroxin was the reference drug for Levothyroxine so how can it be withdrawn from manufacture? Mercury Pharma is anhydrous Levothyroxine. Is that the same as Eltroxin? I understand some people have obtained Eltroxin although different from the original formula back in 2013?
Yes, I remember reading that. I do wish there was a way to have complete clarity over Levothyroxine product availability. It is shrouded in mysteries as though we are meant to be kept in ignorance. Does the MHRA even know the answers, are they legally responsible to ensure information is clearly available and what is the legislation around ensuring the information is conveyed to patients, or accessible to patients in a sensible format?
