Hpylori diffuse hair loss?

Stool test shows hpylori. Flank pain has been present the same length of time as hair loss in fact probably a couple months more. Does anyone suffer from it and have diffuse hair loss too? Cannot find much info on the www about it.

It's very interesting you should ask that as I was diagnosed with H Pylori some months ago. Several months prior to the positive result I started losing handfuls of hair especially when I washed it. I also gained weight, felt much more tired and developed a swollen scalloped tongue. All these symptoms had disappeared when I first started taking NDT. I was surprised that although my thyroid results have been optimal for a fews years these symptoms were back. Since the diagnosis I have managed to treat the H pylori naturally but your post has given me something to think about.

I have found a couple of articles that say it does. I have also found articles that say in animals it affects their coat/hair. In ferrets it causes hair loss.

I have diffuse loss from everywhere. 20 months hair is so thin now. Just diagnosed with hpylori last week with private stool test. Sent off my gp breath test this morning. I am currently trying to find out how long it will take the company to send the results back. Wondering if this happened to anyone and how long does it take to see an improvement. I have bought aloe vera juice and probiotics as well as mastic gum while i await the results and dr decides what medication to treat me with.

Have you taken time off work with the hpylori?

I no longer work as my thyroid symptoms were so severe that I had to give up work 6 years ago. I'm in a much better place now but am going through menopause so not sure which symptoms are caused by what. I find it's all a guessing game as to which treatment works for each individual.

When I was first diagnosed with H pylori my GP wanted to prescribe antibiotics but I refused to take them. Instead I took mastic gum, oil of oregano, aloe vera juice, probiotics and kefir. I had an endoscopy with biopsy in July 2017 which showed no H pylori thankfully. I now have gastritis caused by the H pylori which I'm currently researching as my GP once again wants me to try antibiotics. My hair loss is no worse than at the beginning of the year so hopefully it's slowly improving. It sounds like you're on the right track with regards to natural treatment for H pylori. As for normal H pylori treatment, there is only the antibiotics route which I refuse to take as it sets me back months if not years.

All of my hair from everywhere has thinned. Eyebrows everything i have been telling the gp there si something wrong with me for 20 months. I had to diagnose myself. Hair loss showing no improvement. Fphl is not in family have same hair as mother and grandmother and aunt. They have full heads of hair. I am going to take the medicine the dr gives me. I want rid of this fast. I will continue with the natural treatments to. I have a week to wait for the results from gp. I have been off work on hols this past couple of weeks. I am wondering whether i should ring in and explain ans take next week while i wait for the results off 2 or not. The pain comes in waves bad at night. I am tired ans appetite isnt great. Whenever they give me the antibiotic treatment i am def staying off. Have you heard of anyone who hair recovered after it was eradicated?

Update: Finished the antibiotic treatment. It wasnt too bad. I could feel it working. Took probiotics and mastic gum along with it. Need to get more mastic gum. Pain has lessened. It flares up when stressed or worried. Also if dont eat regulalry. Will have to retest in 6 weeks to see if t is gone. Hair loss seems to have lessened 1st time in 2 years. Not 100 percent sure yet. Dont want to curse myself. Only been week really.

But hair still thin and regrowth that there is is still weak. No noticeable regrowth. Ferritin dropped to 50 stopped supplementing during treatment it was 50 have started supplementing again. Though the hair loss from eyebrows nad as ever lost 20 2 days ago. No growth anywhere really.

Hello - I wanted to check how your hair loss has been. I experienced stress and hair loss that started a year ago and hasn't stopped. I tested positive for H Pyroli in stool test. My GP recommended triple therapy and gut healing protocol... what do you think? is there a connection in my hair loss (losing every where and have a burning/itching scalp where the hair goes) and does the antibiotics treatment help?

Hello - I had stress induced hair loss that has been on going for a year now. Now my stress has gone but hair loss remains... I recently tested positive for H Pyroli and wondering if I should start the triple therapy... would it help with hair loss? Any thoughts?

Thank you for replying to me. I am not losing hair anywhere else. Your hair loss might be to do with stress then? I tried acupuncture and there was remission for 2 days when I lost no hair... the only thing different was acupuncture... I am now back with it now for a week. let's see...
