Best to supplement with vitamin D3 and take K2 along with it so long as you have no haemotological conditions for which you should not take K2. Some preparations include both. Retest your level in 6 months.

Ok thank you . I have haemachromatosis and pernicious anaemia is it ok to take k2 with that ?

That's something you must check first with the doctor as I don't have the medical knowledge to tell you if it's safe or not. It affects speed of blood clotting for some people.

I thought that was K1 ?

K1 is the one that they inject into newborns - that is very much blood clotting. But K2 seems to have some impact on clotting - advice to be checked in someone with other issues already seems appropriate. Much nicer when we can give a definite answer, but not this time.

Vitamin D mouth spray by "Better You" is easy to use. Comes in various doses - 3000iu probably good dose to start with.

Start with single spray a day. If no adverse affect, you could double the dose for a month to 6 weeks. Retest after 3-4 months

Once you get to good level (around 100) then reduce to maintenance dose. Possibly 1000iu, but others need higher. Test twice a year and especially until you learn what you need to keep at that level

You may need to take less in summer, more in winter.

We mustn't take too much either, as it's oil based and body can't disperse.
