It takes 7-10 days for Levothyroxine dose increase to be absorbed before it starts working and it may take up to six weeks to feel the full impact of the dose. You should have thyroid levels retested 6-8 weeks after dose was increased in case further adjustment is required. Arrange an early morning and fasting (water only) blood draw when TSH is highest, and take Levothyroxine after your blood draw.
Im getting mine tested after 4 weeks as mine levels seem to be changing weekly!! Ill be getting bloods done next week, im really hoping its settling down.. but i still feel down and detached so i very much dowt it...
For me, the first sign is tinitus. Always with me but it increases in pitch when I am low on my pills. Then the heart "bumps", especially at night when you dont dare move in case all ticking stops! Then the house gets undusted and unhoovered as I really cannot be bothered.
I have found over the years that there is a very small "sweet spot" and once you hit it, it moves! I constantly slowly juggle the dose and even a small increase or decrease can make the difference. Annoying! Hope you find your sweet spot soon.
