Leukaemia and thyroid disease

Hi, has anyone come across a link with leukaemia and thyroid disease or has both?

Thanks for posting. I had no idea that there could be an inter-connection with thyroid disease and leukemia.

My husband has chronic lymphatic leukaemia now in remission having had chemotherapy a year and a half ago. He has now developed thyrotoxicosis due to a vast over production of thyroid hormones. The medics are unclear what the course is and apart from him having hyperthyroidism can't explain what is happening yet. It doesn't seem unlikely that there is a connection with CLL so I would like to know if anyone has experienced this or is studying what appears to be a rare occurrence.

Hi, I am hypothyroid (many years) and 6 years ago diagnosed with CLL (chronic lymphocytic leukemia). I don't know of any connection.

Yes, my mom and sister both hypo.
