Hi

new member diagnosed hypothyroid in 2011. had meds reduced from 200mcg levo to 25mcg levo when will i notice an improvement in thyroid levels please. thank you

thyroid peroxidase antibodies 881 (<34)

thyroglobulin antibodies 473.5 (<115)

tsh 0.08 (0.2 - 4.2)

free t4 20.3 (12 - 22)

free t3 4.0 (3.1 - 6.8)

Were those test results from when you were on the higher dose ? Why was it reduced ? Are you on other medication ? Do you know you have Hashimotos ? How are you feeling ?

Have you been tested for vits and minerals ? - B12 - FOLATE - FERRITIN - VitD ? Am thinking they could be LOW as you are not converting the T4 well.

thank you the results from when i was on the higher dose and it was reduced because gp said it is likely i have hyperthyroid because of symptoms of tremor and weight loss and sweating which i have always had. other symptoms are constipation and difficult swallowing and tiredness feeling cold hair loss and bags under eyes i have results of other things will post thank you again

Was that reduction done in one go? If so, your doctor must be a homicidal maniac! Or very, very ignorant about thyroid.

Then you should run away from that doctor as fast as you can go! He's dangerous! You must feel dreadful. What a moron.

Your levels are likely to swing around, and sometimes you can have high levels, but, that does not mean you are hyper. You are, and always will be, hypo. And your doctor should know that! 😠
