ive come out worse off than i went in

after explaining to him im on liquid thyroxine because the tablets made me really sick hes decided to stop my liquid and give me tablets, hes blaming sleep apnea on my symptoms and has referred me for a sleep study as my thyroid is perfect at 3.31, thats not a perfect thyroid the number need to be lower hence the reason i increased thyroxine from 6ml to 7ml

I know i was thinking of trying the tablets again as swallowing the liquid is getting harder and harder but i was going to have a chat with my dr on a trial and if it didnt work i could go back on the liquid

hes discharged me and i can have a referral if my TSH rises but im going to ask for salisbury hosspital as they come highly recommended

Wow, you tell him you're on liquid as tablets make you ill so he stops the liquid and puts you back on tablets! He thinks a treated thyroid patient with a TSH of 3.31 is perfect?????? You are well rid of this ........ insert expletive here......

You're under medicated and need a raise

i did raise i was on 6ml and went up to 7 ml

he wants me on 150mcg, i have just put a repeat in which luckily has a bottle of liquid included, i will try the tablets and if i get ill again ill just go and see my dr and beg if i have to and get the liquid back

i really wish endo's were actual thyroid sufferers (not that id wish a naff thyroid on anyone) but they would have an idea of what we are going through

Don't we all, you could only hope they would be more sympathetic if they knew what it felt like to be 'within the range' yet still not feel good.

Have to say I wouldn't feel at all good with a TSH like yours. My un-medically qualified opinion says it is too high. Hope you either get on ok with the pills or you can get the liquid again.

i cant see how their ranges are so high, no one feels good with a TSH like mine, surely if they look at records of us with UAT they can clearly see we feel like death when we have a so called perfect thyroid

i should have asked hime to define perfect because when i had a scan after first being diagnosed i was told thyroid was very small and shrivelled........how is that perfect with any TSH

im hoping my dr that gave me the liquid will agree if the tablets fail......im happy to give them a shot but scared at the same time

I think that any endo treating hypo patients should be forcibly fed carbimazole until they know how we feel.

our treatment and their attitudes would certainly improve
