Meeting with gp

Just returned from the doctors and i am far from happy. I informed my gp of how levothyroxine has not made me feel any better and how i wanted to switch to natural thyroid. His response was that the medication would not make me feel any better as that is not what it is meant to do.

NDT was out of the question and so were any tests for my t4/t3. My TSH is fine therefore everything is ok. T3 means nothing...

I had to bite my lip. I am disgusted to be honest.

I am fed up and i'm just going to import some natural thyroid from abroad. Could anyone message me any good sources please?

Did he say what Levothyroxine is meant to do?

I think you might need to edit the title of your post to make it clear you want sources for NDT.

To edit, click on the square with a v in it below your original post and then click on Edit. After changing the title remember to click Post.

Your blood???? Not your thyroid!!!? What a prat. It's to stop you dying of heart failure, getting dementia, going into a coma or just being unable to function because of the symptoms - therefore no symptoms = success

if the medication is not meant to make you feel better a) what is the point of it? and b) How do they know it is working? Yeah. just give up and source your own - although you might be fine on levo if you are given enough and your nutrients (foaate, ferritin, B12, D) are also optimal.

Not what you're looking for?
